Yesterday's Esophageal Manometry...

...has left me feeling rotten today. Don't feel like going to my part-time job even. But doc had to see if my esophagus is strong enough to have a Linx device to cure my reflux while he repairs my hiatal hernia.

Anyone else have a Linx?

It's been determined that I don't qualify for the preferred Linx device. So, on Sept. 13 I will have a TIF (Trans-oral Fundoplication). In hospital overnight. Post-surgery: liquids and protein shakes for 2-3 weeks, then soft foods for 1-2 weeks and then 4-6 small meals everyday for the rest of my life... BUT, at least I will be able to sleep absolutely flat (as opposed to up on 5 pillows) and even drink orange juice (haven't been able to do that in decades!). Not looking for to it all but the bonus is that I will loose 20-30 pounds.

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers!!
