And all you can do is sigh and be grateful they didn't take out more people while they were at it. See the AARP site goes ballistic...bad pun intended over this stuff. There are a large core of gun owners who believe the solution to gun violence is more people need more guns. I just shake my head. Also the shooter is still at large.

What might we say about the criminals who kill fellow criminals? imp

Sad indeed....this sort of thing is an everyday occurrence in this country.

This mornings news is saying that the shooter first shot his long term live-in girlfriend, then went after the professor. He was located by the police, and after a short highway chase, he abandoned his car, and went into the woods, where he shot himself. There is good probable speculation that this was the act of a "love triangle".

It is usually prudent to wait until all the facts are in before making a thinly veiled attempt to associate All gun owners with the actions of a few "troubled" individuals.

That's what I was seeing. Funny how these stories die if there isn't a mass shooting of innocents. In some respects this is a more typical murder scenario where those involved know each other. This will be a Lifetime movie in a about a year.

But it's not just a few troubled individuals, it's countless numbers of troubled individuals who can buy themselves a whole legal collection of weapons and then go to their local campus, mall, grammar school, former employer, present employer, estranged spouse, church, movie theater, street festival, random group of strangers...

...and open fire...
