You’re slowly losing patience

I believe I've become more patient as I've aged, which surprises me since I was always strung a bit tight. I think it's because I have a good grasp of things that do and do not directly affect my life, so if issues aren't ruining my day I don't waste one moment worrying about them.

So many good posts already that I can relate to, but I do have one.

People who expect you to drop whatever you are doing in order to do things for them. I'm past the "slowly losing patients with" & in the "I'm done with" category.

Doing that for our parents wasn't ever an issue. So many times, they didn't ask for help even when it was needed. They'd say you're busy yourselves with things. Nope, we weren't that busy.

Not much today, but when I flew, I slowly lost my patience with planes blocking my gate, especially in Honolulu. I don’t know what it is over there, but the traffic controllers sure were slow getting planes pushed back from the gate. I once waited over 20 minutes to get to my gate, even after all but begging to move us to an open gate.

Hoo, boy; where do I start? 😆

I agree with pretty much everything that's been mentioned so far.

One thing that particularly grates is the general loss of civility. For example, I think I've read at least two news stories in the past couple of weeks about people melting down in airports and physically attacking gate agents because their flight was canceled or some such inconvenience.

I haven't witnessed such an incident in person—yet—but internally I am losing patience, fast, with that kind of behavior.
