College students in Tuscaloosa, Ala., are throwing “COVID parties” in which they invite people infected with the coronavirus and bet on who will get sick first, according to city officials. Tuscaloosa City Councilor Sonya McKinstry told ABC News Wednesday students in the city and surrounding areas have been holding the parties as part of a game to intentionally pass each other the virus that has infected nearly 2.7 million people in the U.S. and left more than 128,000 dead, according to Johns Hopkins University data.

Sigh, I wonder what ever happened to real Journalists. You know, one who would investigate and find the facts before running screaming to the chief... STOP THE PRESS'S. Strange, I didn't see any media report that the college debunked this fable that once again shows the "click bait" fever these outlets suffer from.

Quote from the school. "We have been aware for weeks of the rumors about COVID parties. We conducted a thorough investigation, and although we have been unable to identify any students who may have participated in these types of activities".

What happened to real journalists? They lost their jobs when people stopped paying for news.

I personally have paid subscriptions to 4 online newspapers with investigative reporters, plus give a monthly donation to NPR, and have an annual subscription to Consumer Reports. I also support other news outlets with occasional donations.

If people want real journalists, they have to help underwrite their salaries and expenses.
