You need a cell phone.

In the US, you're really not a citizen unless you have a birth certificate, a social security account, and a driver's license/ID. Then, they added having an email address. I think you have to add having a cell phone. There are hold outs, who don't have one, But the reason everybody likes them is they are handy and do work well. Plus, it's becoming obvious, that without one, you will lose access to the greater world. It's like being without a dial telephone in the 1950s. You might be able to muddle along, but no way will your grandkids be without their phones.
( I had a flip phone for a long time. Then 4 yrs. ago,I got smart phone- I'm mad at myself for holding out so long.)

Society has dictated, and I use the word dictated for a purpose, that we all have to have a cell phone. Unfair!!! Seniors lose the ability to use a cell phone at some point in their later years. I, however, still favor using them at 70 and do almost everything on it, I feel an urgency of finding as soon as possible just as bad as if it were my car/house keys!
