"Your grandfather was right!"

I'm a child of the 60s. Class of '64. And after a few decades or so, you kind of forget how truly The Beatles ruled the music scene. You can't have a "Best of " album of 60s music without at least half of the songs were Beatles' songs. Apparently, the "Millennial" generation or whatever they call the latest hip generation is unaware of that fact. Somehow they believe that was all hype. But when confronted with facts, the music, and the times; that illustrious generation said, "Your grandfather was right".
YOUR GRANDFATHER??????? YOUR GRANDFATHER????
Why, you lousy, son of a ....YOUR GRANDFATHER!!!!!!!

Every generation seems to have it's Musical tastes, and quite often, older generations find the new stuff questionable. The Beatles were great, and I could spend hours listening to Pink Floyd. There are some excellent new artists, and some really good music today, but I cannot understand the attraction of Rap and Hip Hop.

I'm really not sure I understand the OP...

I call myself a child of the 60's because that's the deacde I grew up in, but in fact I was the class of '71, so most of my teen years were spent in the 70's.

I remember when I was still at school maybe 12 or so , late 60's.. I was in my friends' house when her elder sister was playing a Beatles record.

her grandfather was there at the time, and he said..''what's this rubbish, she loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah''..call that music, that's not music, that 's nonsense...

..at which point my friends' father said..take no notice of him, when i was a child he used to say the same thing to me when I was playing Bing crosby records... :D
