Anybody have any good Chinese recipes? I love pot stickers & can make them easily enough at home. My difficulty was finding a recipe for a particularly great tasting dipping sauce I was served in Philadelphia Chinese restaurants. It took me years, but at long last I found it. I am a person who believes in sharing my culinary finds. Here's that dipping sauce recipe:
Combine following ingredients in a microwave safe container. Heat in microwave till hot, then set aside.
7 T water
1 T soy sauce
Dash of garlic powder
1/4 t molasses
1/4 cube of beef bouillon
Place following ingredients in a pot. Cook (and stir) over medium heat till sugar turns a golden brown:
1 T oil
4 (peeled) coin shaped rings of ginger
2 T sugar
After sugar has reached a golden brown color, carefully add the liquid you microwaved.
Simmer over med heat and stir for 5 minutes, scraping bottom to get all the sugar dissolved.
Strain & serve.
