Zantac Pulled From Shelves

We tossed the generic version as well. There are a number of other things that work.

I took that years ago for only couple of weeks and it never worked.....probably a good thing.

Yes they pulled it and the generic versions from our shelves several months ago.... very annoying,
My doctor was furious because it meant that thousands more people were asking for prescription ant-acids, costing the NHS millions and creating even more of a backlog of waiting times for appointments for people needing appointments just for an antacid which they could usually buy OTC.. ... .. Anyway now the generic version is back on the shelves (ranitidine) , as well as OTC Esomeprazole... but the Zantac is not back.
I have a Hiatus hernia, I have little choice but to take 20mg Esomeprazole ( previously lansoprazole / Omeprazole) every day
