Zika Virus, Could mineral selenium help in fight?

I live in Dominican Republic that has had an epidemic of Zika for at least one and a half years and so far no death but there was one case of microephaly not related to Zika and the medical say they would normally have that without the virus as farming chemicals cause the same problem. We in this country had an epidemic of dengue even I had it. Epidemic of Chickamauga, Malaria is also endemic here and yet the people go on like nothing happens. This disease is a scare tactic to use against the people who do not know to convince them they need the next vaccine.
Could the microephaly be a combination of that particular virus and a selenium deficiency that is also a possibility. Selenium deficiencies have been linked to many health problems.

I think part of the reason many diseases are so brutal is that the patient is already compromised nutritionally along with poor fitness and hydration. Throw in living conditions that take effort from the body wether it's an immune system under constant attack ie sanitary conditions or lack of modern of convenience the body is already struggling. You got it though 'the next vaccine'.

Selenium can be over done and is exactly how they describe it, a trace mineral, nothing to mega dose but without it and other vitamins the body can't function normally and normal function includes a fully functioning immune system. Many say if the immune system is working up to speed a lot of diseases etc would be inconsequential to the individual.
