Most of my fears fall under a similar phenomena, loss. Old age naturally brings the loss of many things we have had through our lives, but now we no longer have them, or we fear that we are losing it/them. Sometimes I mean that too, just losing it! :)

Why don't I see fearing a poop accident while in public on the poll?
For some of us, the biggest fear is a fart.

That's a tough poll (imo). I don't see my biggest fear on there, so I chose crime, but I'm thinking personal crime, like some thug breaking in the house at night, or aiming a gun at me at the local ATM. I have a firearm, but I fear I'm not as quick as I used to be.

I think my biggest fear is suffering from a painful terminal illness and being alone to fight it, ... that's probably the worst fear I have....
When my brother and I were taking care of our mother while she was dying of cancer, he and I took turns staying with her. And it was doing a lot of laundry, cooking and watching her sleep. And in addition to the sadness of watching her die was feeling so alone while I was taking care of her, just she and I in that house (and when she drew her last breath).

And if I end up becoming my Huzz's caretaker, it'll be the same, so hard and lonely.

yes very sad for you when your mother was dying... and if anything happens to you and or hubs, then at least you will have each other, so if you get sick in the night someone is there.. unlike those of who live alone...
