Could This Point to Reincarnation?

An English woman who lives in Lincolnshire woke up one
morning with a Welsh accent, could this be a hint that in
a past life, she was Welsh.

She has never been to Wales in her life, even a neurologist
has no explanation for the condition, which is known as, (FAS),
"Foreign Accent Syndrome".

This happened last year in July, but has only been reported
today!

Wales is only 7 hours from where she lives. She must have heard the accent a bunch. Her brain got her language pathways crossed somehow, and she can't change it back. If she was speaking in another language like Russian, or Japanese, that would be too much. This one doesn't sound all that mysterious to me.

I listened to the debate on the radio, the specialists were
talking about other neurological problems, somebody who
had lost his ability to walk, somebody else lost her balance,
plus the lady who lost her accent, were all lumped together,
but under another acronym, like MND.

They did speak about others who woke, speaking another
language, but couldn't speak their own, there have been a few
cases over the years, an Australian man, woke up one morning
fluent in Chinese, but he could still speak English with his own
accent, he ended up as a presenter on Chinese TV.

I have always thought that there might be a connection with
today and a previous life, when this kind of thing happens.

There are theories that examples as yours can be a hint of reincarnation. Other hints can be birthmarks at spots that are in local relation to the earlier existence. For example a birthmark exactly at the spot of a gunshot that lead to the death of the former person. Or the exact knowledge of foreign cities the person has been never before.
Or a very special intimacy to complete strangers. For example: In France we met for the first time the three year old granddaughter of my cousin and his wife. They told us that she was always very frightened of strangers and even hid from a French woman she already knew and saw several times. As my wife and I visited the family the young girl looked at us, showed no signs of fear and even played with us.

A story popped up on my phone about a 7 year old who was convinced he died in the world Trade Center. My overly sensitive phone lost the story mid-way. I searched for it and several more similar stories appeared. It has been a long time since I considered reincarnation but it peaked my interest. Google them if you are interested.

I’ve heard of this called Foreign Accent Syndrome. It’s apparently caused by some sort of medical condition (stroke) or head trauma. Whether it has any connection to incarnation...

That is interesting. Christianity cannot explain such phenomena. Yet I don't believe in reincarnation as it is an entirely different belief system

When my one niece was about 6 yo, she was on vacation with her Mom's parents. They were all walking past a cemetery & she pointed over towards some graves & told her Grandma as a matter of fact that she buried a little boy over there once. Her Grandma walked over to where she pointed & she found a grave of a little boy.

That was eerie when I heard it. But it does makes you wonder about reincarnation.

I don't think that reincarnation can belong solely to only one belief system. I think that some beliefs just doesn't discuss it.

There have been times that I've met someone & for some reason, I've instantly taken to them. Other times there have been people I want nothing to do with. In both cases, I haven't met them before or been told anything about them. I don't know if it was my instinct or if I may have known them in a past life.

I too wonder. Like how we fall in love and marry. Why that person? It can be a feeling that we have known them before.

Many religions, believe in reincarnation, Sikhs, Janes,
Shinto and Buddhists, to name some, I often hope
that there might be.

But, if there is, how can Mediums speak to the dead,
unless reincarnation is not instantaneous, at the point
of death?

Any views, suggestions?

Mike.

I do believe in reincarnation but I hope that this is my last time around. I have mentioned this before, my friends son was very young when he turned to his mum and said" do you remember when I was your dad?" her father having passed away years before. He is now in his late 40's and does not remember ever saying that. When I was in my 20's I attended a regression seminar delving into our past lives, I remember dreaming? about a soldier on horseback in battle and I know this man was me, I watched him die. Forgot about it, got on with my life. My head can't always cope with what is going on in this world let alone the next.

Most people with a confirmed case of foreign accent syndrome (FAS) had suffered brain or neurological damage caused by an injury or other type of trauma, such as a severe migraine or shock.

I think I read there are 80 confirmed cases worldwide (could be wrong). I do remember the earliest recorded case was a Norwegian woman who was hit with shrapnel during World War II. She suddenly developed a German accent, and people ostracize her for it.

A recent case is a 65-year-old Spanish-speaking woman with multiple sclerosis who began speaking in Spanish with an English accent. MS destroys the myelin sheath that coats the nerves, disrupting their ability to send signals throughout the body.

Another case of FAS happened after a person had dental surgery. He (or she) recovered from anesthesia with...I think it was an Irish accent. The person was born in the USA.

A few scientists theorize that the human brain understands all languages, and that that knowledge is stored somewhere at a cellular level within certain neurons or receptors or other minuscule mechanism, worker, or factory in every healthy brain.

One case of FAS, that I remembered, was when I was working
as a maintenance engineer in a shopping mall, in London in
1999, in one of the multi-storeyed parking facilities, all the lifts
/elevators, had Irish accents! :ROFLMAO:

First thing I wondered if she had experienced some sort of head trauma or maybe psychological trauma that caused her FAS. I wouldn't rule out reincarnation since I do believe in it.
