Which doctor would you try to see with this symptom?

Started suddenly - discomfort that feels like intermittent sharp shooting pangs and warm water running down the inside of inner thigh (no crude jokes, okay?). Worsened by bending over. Would you
1) call your PCP and maybe get an appointment in 3 weeks
2) go to an emergent care facility (even though it is not life-threatening) where they will try to diagnose and then refer you back to your PCP
3) go to a hospital emergency room
4) do nothing and hope it will go away on it's own
5) something else
I can say for certain this is neurological. Probably a pinched nerve, a bulging or collapsing disc, or stenosis in the spinal cord. Worst scenario would be a little cyst on your spinal column.

So if you're allowed to call your PCP and request a referral to a spine specialist or neurologist over the phone, do that. Otherwise, see your PCP ASAP for an exam and a referral.

Meanwhile, use a heating pad for 15 to 20 minutes a few times a day, and take an anti-inflammatory. And don't over-do physical activities.

Your diagram shows upper inner thigh to knee, this is a sensitive area
for me, but mine is due to needing an eventual hip replacement.

I would consider getting an appt with your doctor of course.
Sounds like that to me as well. I suffered for a year with it, went to the doc many times but she thought it was a lower back problem. I had gone in again with same complaint but this time had no rebound activity when she checked me knee. Straight to the ortho, by then I was using a walker, in terrible pain.

Hip had actually collapsed, needed a replacement. Finally, after year put on pain medication. Ortho was surprised I could still walk at all. It went well, the pain of the surgery was nothing compared to the pain of the collapse.

Based on what others have said and your age, I'd probably head for for the ER.

I have had sciatica and while, yes, symptoms can vary, it has always felt like a deep nerve/muscle pain in my hip and back of the thigh, never inner thigh. See chart - it runs right down the back of the leg and thru the gluteus maximus.

This is what I would do immediately. Search the symptoms on Mayo Clinic or WebMd, Cleveland Clinic or another
hospital. Learn the possibilities but don't wait. Tell your doctor it is urgent.
Next choice go the ER, assuming one is not too far away. Take a taxi or Uber perhaps.
An internal doctor.

My problem - PCP doesn't have diagnostic equipment so I'd end up going to another facility anyway if she thought it was needed. Emergent care places nearby are in high-traffic and congested areas that I'm not comfortable driving in with my bad vision. I hate asking others for transportation on such short notice. I was thinking of going to an emergent care place early tomorrow morning (Saturday), if it's still bothering me. Hopefully, there will be less traffic.

If you go to an urgent care facility very few of them have any equipment to perform testing. I would suggest the emergency room, but be prepared to wait. Take your tablet along and play games or something to do while waiting or having to stick around for several hours. The very least they will do is a CT Scan or maybe an ultrasound.

Choice #3.
Diagnostic equipment to tell you what you want to know. Funny thing about aging the body deteriorates. So best guessing, hoping it's nothing, trying home remedies make no sense to me.
