This is brilliant..the kids are fabulous, and completely immersed in this..

I can just imagine the response if a head teacher tried to get the pupils in our schools here.. doing this, there would be howls of derision and absolute refusal from the vast majority ..

Really like the idea, but the schools in the U.S. wouldn't allow this to happen. A teacher, school and principal here could get sued for even mentioning doing this.

Cool - why not? Schools have fun days where they take part in sack races, etc. In elementary
school, we had to take part in Maypole dancing, and in high school, we took outdoor gym class. I think this is brilliant!

Way beyond what any US School System would allow. They are, now, mostly baby sitting institutions that fill the heads of their students with mostly meaningless garbage that will not do much for those students in their adult lives. Sad, but just another way the US is seen to be on the way down, on the world stage. Our children are our future. Need I say more?

The school system in our state might as well do this. We can't afford books anymore, everything goes to computer, if your child doesn't have a computer, too bad. Even with a computer kids don't learn and are passed through and out to be society's problem.

lol, if they exercised at least they would have something to do in school.

Sadly it's pretty much the same in our schools here....

Exactly...we had the same...outdoor sports and gym , and my school was a Dance school, so we always had dancing as part of the curriculum. If I was a kid now, I'd want that headmaster..

Watched a video yesterday on my grandson's school website of him and his classmates doing dancing/boxercise to music. Not led by the headteacher but by their PE teacher. This is a regular thing alongside a good range of sports which include rugby, football, cricket, athletics plus indoors sports such as table tennis and gymnastics.

Must be a good school.. I know many schools around here have actually even stopped pupils partaking in Gym in case they physically hurt themselves.. and competitive sports in case they get their feelings hurt!!
