What were you like as a kid?

Shy but slowly confident - encourage by my parents to be so. and just grew from there - always the odd skirmishes with the street gang and some were stronger and crueler but I hung in there!

Quiet

Kept my thoughts to myself

Learned from my big sis always arguing with mom and dad
I just went ahead and did what I wanted

Still sorta that way

Only change…I now write about it

I was a really "skinny little runt" around 98 pounds/6 foot, very short hair that showed off my big ears (due to my Guardian parents). Only two subjects I was really, really good at in high school...…..Speech & Drama Class and Typing Class. Loved to tap around with drum sticks. Not any kind of Hit with the ladies in my class, but there were a few I was interested in. Except for some weekends during the summer, when I'd stay at my cousin's house for the weekend (and loved it), my "after school" and summer days were made up of farming.

What does that mean, to have "Guardian" parents?

I was a wild child. All those stories you've heard about catholic school girls? Yup, that was me  Given the fact that back then you could get on the "fast track" to graduation and graduate at 16 if you weren't going on to University, combined with when my birthday was in relation to the schools there, = I graduated high school at 15. No drinking age, driving at 16, I had my own vehicle ....well, wild child, like I said. :D

skinny thing ..run around with mainly with boys from the streets and my brother 'tom boy yes 'but loved every minute of it ' went in had something to eat the off out again till bed time,,,,,,,,,, had so many bruises on my legs from playing I looked like orphan annie most days ...lol ……….then I noticed boys my age and took a real interest ' I was never wild as I had a very strict up bringing ' but left the tom boy stage into music records dancing and bikes '

i was skinny and more or less entertained myself--i like taking long walks down deserted streets(no houses) i just liked being by myself

I was a tiny, timid little wimp, scared of everything and everyone, God knows how I became the vibrant, self confident, successful woman I am today.....:whome:

I was quiet and very grown up for my age.

I was able to do as I pleased as long as I kept my mouth shut and appeared to be obeying the rules.

Like Gary 'O my sister helped draw the flak and create a much-appreciated diversion.

I was a shy kid, with not much confidence in myself
I rebelled at my parents after spending 6 yrs of my childhood from ages 10-16 away at schools.I survived that awful experience, took me yrs to forgive them

I was skinny and caught every childhood disease known to mankind. Didn't give my parents a lot of trouble, unlike my younger sisters. I though if my Dad said, "Do that and you'll be locked in the basement until you're 35" that he could do that. My sisters knew he couldn't and acted accordingly.

I was a bit of a tomboy. Then I got a little more rebellious in my teens but still thought my parents "meant it".

My son Joey, who has Down's syndrome, is a walking germ catching factory. He catches everything. You will never meet a more loving person. Always has been a loving person, always will be.

Never good enough, enforced by Parochial school. Pulled 4.0 GPA throughout though. Graduated, left the cruelty behind and have had an adventurous, fun life. :peace:

Shy, obedient, an excellent student, a dreamer, very athletic. :eek:nthego:
