Anyone Else Sick and Tired of the Boob Tube?

We are not "sick and tired" of TV, though we don't watch much except for local news, weather, and movies. I occasionally have a shopping network on for background noise but I'm susceptible to impulse buying. I enjoy binge-watching series on streaming services, particularly in winter where it's cozy to just stay inside and veg.

I spent 4.5 months in hospital/rehabs for the knee infection in late 2016, early 2017...and had a crappy tv in my area and then the roommates would have their tv going all day and some all night. I got so sick of tv when I finally came home and waded thru a mess of bills, etc etc etc and found TWC messed up and didn't keep my tv going as they messed up payments, and then wanted like $300 to get back on track with them, I said the hail with it and told them to come and get the black box or I'd have it thrown out in the alley...they finally came. My friends can't believe I don't have a tv..

I get all I need on my NPR and other stations plus I don't have to look at current politicians .. hearing them is too much.

When I'm listening to my NPR and others I'm laying on my bed and stretching out my stiff body. Sitting for hours is the last thing I need to do.

PS: I save just about $100 a month with no tv. More money for good quality stuff I really want....like good nutritional supplements.

If you have WiFi in your home, get an Amazon Fire Stick for a one time $49 and stream programs..

I'm getting somewhat tired of it as I watch the streaming kind and a some of the time there is an error message or it is not working. Cable tv became too expensive and they never stop raising the price so I don't have that anymore. When I get new glasses I may go back to reading; start going to the library again.
