For some reason, I have a hankering for Victoria Holt. So I have started a collection of her historical romance books and just finished two. Prior to that, I re read IT, by Stephen King. And prior to that, I read Blackwood Farm by Anne Rice.

So, what are you reading?

I have just read ten Joanna Trollope novels in about three weeks, I am a very fast reader, which can be a bit a nuisance, as I only spend about a couple of hours or so a day reading.

I usually read mystery and suspense novels and just finished The Woods by Harlan Coben.
Now I'm reading Cruel Intent by J. A. Jance. It's the first time I've read a book by this author and it's easy to read
and interesting.

In the past I read several books by Stephen King. My favourite book of his was Needful Things.

Maybe Im the odd ball here, I cannot start to read any book and be expected to finish it.
It could be 10 pages long and Ill not get pass the 5th page, I simply put it down and forget all about what I was reading.

Those of you who have been here awhile know I'm going to insist you all read "The Orphan Master's Son"!!!! That said, my sister has recommended "The Goldfinch" which I just can't seem to get around to picking up. Blame that on the demise of bookstores. The only one available is far away and just a pain. Yeah, I know, Amazon and all that. But, I miss roaming up and down the aisles in a bookstore looking for a good read. Ahhhh, this crummy modern world....

Kaya, I have read lots of Stephen King novels. For the most part I find his stories gripping and fascinating. His writing style at times I feel is tedious for the reader though. In one novel he rambled on and on about the contents contained in one of his character's medicine cabinet. I would be happier reading King, if some of his writing wasn't so unnecessarily long-winded.

At the moment I do so much reading on the computer, I don't have a longing to pick up a novel. Although I have just recently decided to purchase and read a copy of Swedish author Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy.

Sounds like the late Andy Rooney.

He was so bright, his Mother called him Ray!

I have the Goldfinch on my iPod. Downloaded it a couple of weeks ago from Audible. Just finished The Martian (I'm a big Sci-Fi fan.) and The Invention of Wings. Liked them both.
