Anyone Watching American Idol in 2019?

This lucky contestant, Evelyn Cormier, got to sing a duet with Chris Isaak, I think she has a great unique voice, and I've always love his voice and this song.

 

Chris Issaks voice is legendary
She sounded really nice singing with him
I just wonder why she wouldn’t take the opportunity to harmonize in the chorus.
She only harmonized the very last verse.
It still sounded good but in my opinion it would have been better if she had harmonized the entire chorus
That last nite he sung was magical but his voice IS

Speaking of ‘the voice’ I prefer that show over American Idol.
 

I like American Idol and the judges, too. I've only watched 3 episodes this season so far, though, as it's not advertised regularly on DirectTVNow. So, I forgot about it but want to see the finale if it hasn't happened yet. Is it still going..are they near the finale?
 
The judges just got done eliminating the contestants that didn't make it, so starting with the next show it will only be the finalists competing against each other and the audience will be allowed to vote. The final show will be on May 20th, they pick the winner then. It's been showing by me on Sunday and Monday nights on channel 7 from 7-9pm, don't know if they'll cut back on the days or times from now on.

Can't much stomach the show. The gf watches it, on occasion. This year's bunch sound very weak, musically. Caught a few, for a few seconds. Their singing hurt my ears because they were so off-key. This was last night, I believe. I do like Katy Perry, a great deal. HOT!

My husband doesn't watch it either Treeguy, he doesn't care for those types of shows. Katy Perry is cute, kind of nutty and fun, makes the show interesting. :)

There are 8 finalists left, the next show will be on Sunday evening, I think an hour earlier than when the show started. More HERE.

Of the finalists, I like Madison Vandenburg, Jeremiah Harmon and Alejandro Aranda the best.
 
#3 and #5 were voted off last week, so now there's only 6 left, tonight show is starting in minutes by me on channel 7.
 
This show has made a huge comeback. Katy Perry does a great job of making it cool and she looks crazy good too.
The contestants are really good. I’m watching it right now.,
 
I've been watching..I have to say that they have some pretty good contestants on this year..

I like that they have quit playing up on the ones that really couldn't sing and making fun of them.

Gonna be tough......

More about when they would show the clips of those that really thought they could sing...but it was evident that they couldn't.

It was like..... why even show it unless you want to make fun of them.

I agree. No amount of time should be spent belittling any singers. At least they had the courage to step up to the challenge.
I’m really diggin’ Alejandro. He’s a natural artist and so humble.,
 
I agree Seeker, about Alejandro. Even if he doesn't win the show, he'll definitely have a successful career in the music business. I'd like to see him, Madison or Jeremiah win the show....we'll see.

True but isn’t that a big part of the show. It’s up to them to take what they need and leave the rest. Look at Phillip Phillips . They tried to change his style and he refused and won.

I picked Madison in the beginning..but others are sort of passing her up.

Agree most that are left will be fine regardless.
 
I have not watched it in years. Just lost interest. Mainly watch America's Got Talent or The Voice
