I don't like those public proposals; they're corny and lame. I often wondered "what if the woman said NO"?

In this video THAT happens. Check out the one starting at 12:00. The young woman tries to stop the guy but he keeps talking, so she grabs a ukelele from one of the musicians and smacks him upside the head, then walks away. :eek:mg1: (okay...yeah...I laughed at that one  ...the guy is dopey)

The way the women are running to GTFO is funny. I also see in the first one the woman smacks the guy in the face then runs. Guess it's because of being put on the spot, and they're not that into the guy

Dopey ukulele guy: "You had me at hello" (when we met 3 months ago) :yuk: "When you smile the whole world stops and stares" :yuk:

Then in the next one the guy throws the ring case on the floor and walks away. :eek:nthego:

Sidebar story - not a proposal but very humiliating:

When I was in my early 20s I worked in an architect's office. Co-worker had a friend who he said was very interested in dating me. We went out twice, and, .....ugh. That was it for me.

Well, Mr. Romance found out that office was giving me a surprise birthday party. He showed up, with 2 other guys and sang "My Girl" but they damn sure weren't the Temptations. I was MORTIFIED. :eek:mg1: Partner of the firm saw that I was on the verge of tears.....so he broke up the music act and politely told the guys to leave. It was awful. If only I'd had a ukelele.

I had an older gentleman propose to me on our second date. I told him I wasn't interested in being the seventh Mrs. Montgomery. Yep, he had been married six times already. I imagine he proposed to every woman he dated. That's the only proposal I've ever turned down.

Do you have any idea why he'd been married so many times?

The practice of 'living together' has caused the marriage itself to lose it's 'umpth'! so the excitement must come from the over-the-top proposal or the extreme ceremony party and the creation of Bridezillas.

Sounds like the guy must have been more interested in the state of MARRIAGE, then any person he dated.
