Will time travel ever be possible?

I don't disagree, but almost all of science is based on theory, it is not fact.:yoda:
But you stated categorically it is impossible. Science starts with theory. It is the duty of science to prove out theory. Laboratories serve that purpose. Until time travel is proven it remains theoretical but all science begins with theory then if possible, those theories become reality. Medicine is a fine example. The moon landing for one, was based on mathematics.

The usual misunderstanding (in general) of what is a scientific theory (theory of evolution being about the most misunderstood).

Every scientific theory starts as a hypothesis. A scientific hypothesis is a suggested solution for an unexplained occurrence that doesn't fit into a currently accepted scientific theory. In other words, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a hypothesis is an idea that hasn't been proven yet. If enough evidence accumulates to support a hypothesis, it moves to the next step — known as a theory — in the scientific method and becomes accepted as a valid explanation of a phenomenon.

The way it looks to me, the extent of our knowledge of the nature of the Universe is roughly equivalent to what one drop of water is to the Pacific ocean. And in my lifetime I don't expect to see it get much farther than that. Unless E.T. shows up and clues us in.

The moon landing is an excellent example based on mathematics. I guess we will remain at odds on time travel until it has been proven to be mathematically possible. In reality it is beyond my comprenhension...

I totally agree it is next to impossible to grasp but for me I love reading what the distant future holds. I wish I was a heck of a lot smarter so when I read I could understand better. I am jealous of people with genius IQs.

I just hope that, if time travel ever materializes, it's not handled by the airlines. If it was, you'd probably end up with your head in the Middle Ages, your legs in the Civil War and your bags would be somewhere in the 25th Century. Not that it would matter, because you'd never get there in time...….
