This afternoon I went to see Elton JOhn bio picture,'Rocketman'. I am a fan of John's music and the very talented actor,Taron Egerton who plays him
The movie starts when John shows up wearing one of his flamboyant costumes he used to wear as he heads for rehab.The story then is told in flashbacks,his early life with unloving parents.His grandmother was the only one who sensed his musical talents.
I loved this movie,Taron was terrific as Elton,a part he was born to play.As I was watching,I felt I was looking at a younger version of Elton.Taron sang all the songs has a great voice, no lip syching in this movie
The supporting cast was good esp Jamie Bell as Elton's long time lyricist,Bernie Taubin.Bryce Dallas Howard plays his mom,Genna JOnes as his loving grandmother,2 young actors who played Elton as a boy,Matthew Illsely, Kit Connors as teenager
It deserves the rave reviews its getting,I highly recommend it Sue
 

It's a pity that many people in show-business who knew and worked with Elton, and also knew his mother and his previous musical partners , are furious, saying this Biopic is absolutely nothing like the truth... in fact Mike Batt has gone so far as to say the whole thing is a Lie, and Elton should be ashamed for allowing people to be maligned in the film, as he has..... !!..
