Yay! New (elevated) toilet seat

I get tired sometimes grabbing/holding onto sink after I do my business. I have a knee that is temperamental and that can make it harder.

I remembered back in 1990 I was recovering from a broken hip and in addition to a walker I got a raised toilet set from the medical supply place. Loved it. In fact I used it way after I healed. But eventually I put it back into the box, (I was a sweet young thing just turned 40 who would never again need to use such a thing) then years later when I moved I threw it away <--(...stupid).

Got another one this week. Love it. Easily removed for cleaning, if others in the home don't want to use, or if you have company. Now my buttcheeks and knees are doin' the happy dance! :banana: :pepper:

The brand I bought was Carex from Walmart. It does not have handles.

Glad you found it and like it. It's a home's most used piece of furniture !

Although we'd like to see a picture of you using it, we shall forgive you for not showing it.
 
We have multiple bathrooms in our home. Two years ago, we replaced all of the toilets with new comfort height toilets. I think they are 20 or 22 inches high, plus the seat.

It makes getting up a lot easier and for someone like me with a bad back, it has been a relief in more ways than one.

I'm 66 & don't need to be concerned yet. But after my plumber had to replace two of my toilets, I noticed that the seat was meeting me before I expected it to. When I measured it, I found that it was a "Comfort Height." I never heard of it until then. (now, I have 2 "Comforts" & 2 "Uncomforts.") :grin:

I have it too from Walmart. Really helps the legs.

It’s unreal to think, but we actually get compliments on our toilets. People will ask us what they are called and where can they get them. Because our’s had to match the color of the tub and sink, it cost more than we wanted to spend, but my wife is particular and “they just have to match,” so she says.
