I've had my car 17 years

On July 29th, my car and I celebrate our 17th anniversary.

Wow, that got me to thinking, my little Suzy has been around 20 years this year. Traded my sidekick in. Her little trailer I made that same year is still with us too.

Hard to believe the wife's car is 19 years old. Where does the time go?

My 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT will have its 22nd birthday this November. It just turned 100K miles on it a couple of weeks ago, and it still looks and runs great. I only drive it about 2 or 3 thousand miles a year, anymore, and we keep it primarily in case we have to go somewhere in bad weather....with its 4WD and fairly high ground clearance, it can navigate a good snowstorm quite well.

My car, a 2009 Hyundai Elantra, is still starting and going. Just thinking...... it doesn't need a pain med to get going in the morning, .......nor does it need a pillow between its legs to sleep at night,..... nor get up at 4AM to go to the BR, .....nor does it need a daily laxative... Ya know I wish I were a car!
BTW, there was a time I would not admit I was driving a ten year old car, now, I'm kind of proud about that.

I've had my car 11 years now and it is 20 years old and has 161,400 miles on it. Our anniversary is in Sept.
