Squirrel Bobsled

I remember having a discussion with someone about how to get squirrels out of bird feeders. The advice was great, but didn't quite work. At least here at my house. Sorry, I can't remember the thread so I can't respond there.. There was one stubborn little bugger that just didn't give up, and he had a very good technique. He was finally conquered though. I feel kinda bad for him, watching him sit in the fork of my tree, gazing longingly at that bird feeder, not being able to figure out how to rob it. I had a good laugh when he did slide down this contraption though. It's not pretty, but it's certainly un-squirrelable.

They never quit trying.

I used to have a squirrel feeder ( just like the one pictured) on a tree in the front yard. Had one squirrel especially that made the trek to my house everyday for his daily cob. It was so entertaining and so cute to watch him sitting there munching away.

That is so cute!

I love watching squirrels too. I just love the birds enjoying their feeders, that's why I fuss about the squirrels. I'm especially fond of cardinals, which we have a lot of around here. They weren't getting any food out of the bird feeders.

Grammie, Cardinals like to eat from the ground too... if the squirrels don't get there first!
