Backdraft is an interesting movie of his. he plays the expert fire detective who finds the cause of a fire.

I always found him to be a very good method actor. After he did the comedy movies, he proved me right.

I never heard of him until I saw "Cape Fear," the color version with Nick Nolte. I watched that one about 20 times.

Cape fear was brilliant. what a monster from the deep that role was!

Deniro was good but the original with Robert Mitchum was better IMO. Mitchum really nailed that role.

I did enjoy The Intern (2005)...good movie for Seniors entering the workforce. And he came across as a father figure every young girl would like to have on their team.

I try to seperate the person from the job they are doing. but its not always possible. One cricket player in Australia im not fond of his off field antics. it has turned me off his stellar career.
