What would be your ideal night out?

Tonight, my daughter (40's) is going out for dinner in Hot Southern Spain temps around 100 degrees tonight, where she lives, then afterwards to see Jennifer Lopez playing live at an outdoor castle...

What these days is your ideal way to spend an evening out?

My ideal evening out is to stay IN. But I'm not in my 40's anymore!! :D
Mine too...how sad , I never thought I'd ever say that (altho' I do go out to dinner, and also to more intimate concerts not really loud rock and roll, couldn't stand that anymore) ... but really if you were to go out what would your ideal night out be?

We don't do much more than dinner these days. A good night would be dinner at a really nice Italian restaurant, probably in Boston's North End. Maybe take a walk around the North End after dinner if it's nice out or stop for ice cream somewhere. We really don't stay out much past 8pm anymore.

Not really a night out, but sitting outside at night by a campfire, listening to music and having a few drinks is ideal for me.

A light dinner out at a vegan or other whole foods type restaurant, then dancing, then a movie.

Alternately, in the warmer weather, a twilight motorbike ride and a walk on the beach. Sadly no beaches close enough so we head to the lake instead.

I suppose if I had to drag myself out it would be to dinner. :D (And then hurry back home!)

Last Mother's Day I was at the beach in Emerald Isle NC for the weekend with family. Our tummies were full from a seafood dinner we had earlier as we watched the boats go by and the sun set. Later we sat outside on the upper deck of the beach house at night in these comfy patio sling chairs covering ourselves with soft blankets as a protector from the cool ocean breeze. The sky was pitch black and the stars were so clear and bright because there was zero light pollution from any cities. We could see all the way into the universe.

We all shared what we knew about the various constellations and then we shared memories of happy times. Sometimes there was laughter and sometimes reflection. It was an ideal evening outside.

Dinner at some nice place, then a concert, somewhere. I really like to dress sharp, but Austin is a town for slobs, even in pricey restaurants. I really hope we're not in this town, come next summer. (I need to be careful. I'm starting to sound like one of our former members. You long-time folks know exactly who I mean.)

Just make sure you get yourself some real cowboy attire, not the fake stuff. 😄

💓💋😘

I get goosebumps when the orchestra tunes up. ~ sigh ~
So beautiful my eyes well up...

Also love to dress up for symphony & Broadway shows. I would NEVER go see a Broadway show in jeans.

Perfect night out is going to the Casino and having steak and lobster in the dinning room, only issue is the meal is $50 each and beer is $6.95 a bottle ( I can purchase a 6 pack of Blue & White for $3,98 at local carry out) and if we stay, a room is $179 . Needless to say we don't go very often, I have a steak taste and a Big Mac budget.

Hmmmm, a difficult one, Holly, but I do have recurring dreams of a special night out, Natalie Wood sometimes stars in them 😅, other times Lauren Bacall and I whistle the night away , but my favourite one is when MM and I are on a chaise longue and she is singing to me, "I wanna be loved by you", and I tell her, "OK, but let me finish eating me chips first." 😂

A bit of this would do me......:giggle:

Another vote for a quiet dinner out.

I prefer the old places around town that have survived for decades with good food, good value, and good service over the trendy 15 minutes of fame places that constantly come and go or reinvent themselves.

I really enjoy a place where you can dawdle over drinks, dinner, dessert, coffee, and liqueur until the staff begins to quietly close up around you.

A beautiful dinner out and going to see Journey in concert! I did that before we left Nevada down in Las Vegas it was awesome!

Would like to do this again. We were in Key West and took a sunset cruise, the waters were calm, a few clouds and when the sun set the golden color of a Key West Sunset can only be fully appreciated if you do it. This makes me sad because I know I won't be doing this again.🤮

Early dinner with my three closest friends then catching some Blues on Beale Street. We've done that lots and we're overdue ...but do need to wait until temps cool down some.
