What do you mean that's not my password?

This is starting to climb up on my top ten list of thinks that irk the hell out of me- my password being denied. I just had a shouting session with an Amazon rep. My password was denied. Both my password managers and a hard copy say that was my password, and the damned thing worked a week ago. Yeah, Amazon will send a key to your email, but for some unknown reason, it wasn't getting sent. The rep was useless. In order to ensure I was me, she wanted to know the last three things I bought from Amazon. I don't remember what I bought from who. AND to find out online, I need my password. AHHHHHHH!!!!

Blah I see you've never had to deal with Health and Human Services where your password ceases to work once a year. Yes to be approved for healthcare the next year you have to access your account. However, you can't do that without setting up a new account. Drives me nuts every time.

It is annoying when that happens.Had to change my password here not so long ago because the one I had always used suddenly became incorrect!

I have two financial institutions that used to cancel customers passwords. You would call them to complain and they said "We change passwords for your protection so please create a new one and be aware it will change from time to time." That policy has changed recently with both banks. Can't imagine why.

I've calmed down since yesterday. I've been noticing the decline in "Customer Service" with internet companies. A while ago, you got a person, who was able to handle your problem, by themselves. They had the authority and ability to fix the problem. The last two times I tried to access "Customer Service", you could tell this was being farmed out.I got someone from around India, who had an extreme accent. I could not understand them. They had to constantly repeat. There were kids yelling in the background, so they were home, and not at a central office. They were working off a computer/device, which as asking the questions, and gave them the script to say. And if it was not on their screen, they couldn't answer a question. And they didn't sound like they had the authority to fix anything, the last person was not even able to access my account. It was more like a live version of "FAQ" than somebody with the knowledge and authority to help you.
