Let's Celebrate Another Day of Living!

I'm hoping our trip to CT tomorrow to meet this handsome boy will be joyful in that we will end up adopting him. He's a 3 year old rescue that's now in a foster home. From everything we've been told he should be a good fit for us and our Golden Retriever Dex.

Our meeting was great and we have decided to adopt this awesome boy! He is such a nice dog, docile and friendly. He accepted my wife and I right away and all went well with our Golden Dex. We're making the trip back to CT next Saturday to pick him up, can't wait! We don't like the name he has now (Leroy) and have decided to name him Luca.

To answer the questions:

Lara: I've tried so many vegan cheeses but find them all to be less than wonderful for pizza. Haven't seen Mozz and can't find it on the Internet, but will be on the lookout. Thanks for the tip. I do make a fair number of vegan cheese pizzas because of a couple of hard-core vegan family members plus another one who has a quite difficult time processing dairy (but eats meat).

Kimwhiz: My recipe is so complicated that even my children spurn it. Whatever your skill and experience as a yeast bread maker or pizzaiola , whether beginner, intermediate or expert, a great resource with answers to every aspect of homemade or pizzeria pizza is www.pizzamaking.com. I'd been making pizza for at least 15 years when I came across this site and it really upped my game. Then I took a one-day cooking class in Italy where I picked up a few more tricks!

Thanks. Actually my husband is the cook in the house and heโ€™s been wanting to make homemade dough. Iโ€™ll direct him to the site you listed. Thanks!

@JimW so glad it worked out. I love the name Luca, too. I'm looking forward to reading about his homecoming! :D

Am I the only person who doesn't like pizza? I've tried many different ones - even freshly made in a small family restaurant in Italy, but I've never found one that I liked. I like most other Italian food - just not pizza.

Home made steak and mushroom pie with home grown new potatoes and broccoli for dinner tonight.
