What was the last thing you tried to get out of?

Ha ha I traded my skinny jeans for fat jeans LOL

Well, quite frankly I've been sick of those low-rise, mid-rise and even high-rise jeans. Hate them, but for a while there, there was hardly any other choice. Finally, clothing manufacturers are getting the hint that there are real woman out there who don't care for walking around with waist bands falling off below their hips (I've had to wear belts to keep them up), and I find now finally that there are what they call "mom' jeans. Give me a break! Okay, I don't at this point care what they call them, but I don't know when wearing a pair of jeans at one's natural waist was some kind of divide between hip and not hip, old and young. "Vintage Mom Jeans" is what they call them now. The question now is-- is what to do with my hip jeans?

I like that term vintage, it sounds like something very special!

It's a hassle. I sent all kinds of stuff to their correspondence address but received another bill with the disputed portion listed as late so I tried to email them but they told me they have no record of my email address, this while I'm looking at an email they sent me last year to said address. They're such a bunch of crooks.
Call your local TV station.

Call your local TV station.

I'm saving that as a last resort. It will work. National Grid was tried and found guilty of overcharging customers. They were fined a million dollars, so they don't want any negative publicity. An elderly lady from Islip called her local station when NG started sending her bills in the thousands. The TV station aired her story and invited NG to participate and give their side. They declined and settled with the woman.

Is there another power company in your area that you could switch to?

No, because National Grid owns all the equipment used to deliver energy in my area, power grids, cables etc. We can change our supplier, but NG will always bill us for delivery charges. So if you live where I do NG is always going to be in the picture. The mega corporations have got to be dealt with so they will stop screwing the average person and getting away with it.

Last thing I tried to get out of? Jury duty, only because it's 80 miles round trip. First I got a 6 month extension. In 6 months I turned 70 and in California you can be medically excused with out a doctor's slip. When I move into town I probably WILL go to jury duty as I think I'd enjoy it. My husband did.
