I have been trying to fit in watching all the new shows on TV, to see what I like so far. Between live, and on demand, I have watched several. So far, some of the brand new shows I have watched are EVIL , Emergence, and Prodigal Son. First episodes of each were interesting, and got my attention enough to want to see more. There are a few others I want to catch up On Demand.
Emergence is one that if you like Manifest, you may like this one, even though the story line is a bit different. My usual favorites are 9-1-1, The Good Doctor and Law & Order SUV.
What are you watching? What are favorites?

I like comedies, laughing is good for your health. And I watch CBS almost exclusively, except for reruns in other channels. So far of the new shows I like "Bob-Abishola" and "Carol's Second Act". I started watching ''Evil" but got turned off when that ugly monster visited in her bedroom, I find stuff like that hard to believe. "Young Sheldon'' and ''Mom'' are two of my old favorites.

Hey Marie, we have similar tv show likes...Prodigal Son is now on my calendar to watch....
and a fan of Manifest coming back in 2020....wish I watched Emergence but it must've aired when another of my favs was on...also a fan of L&O but that too airs while I'm glued to the tube with another show....
do you watch FBI, How to get away with murder or any of the NCIS shows? I do....luv when they all return in Sept. and Oct.....

@PopsnTuff I used to be a fan of the NCIS shows, but somehow got away from them. Never watched FBI, may have a look though, I did not develop an interest in How to Get Away with Murder.
Do you have HULU? You can stream the shows there. With no commercials. I have Spectrum Cable, and have been watching some of the shows on demand. They have commercials, though. I gave up HULU when I got cable.

@PVC This evening I saw a commercial for Bob Abishola. I want to give it a look, as I do like "what's his name" who stars in it. I will have to agree with you about the monster in EVIL. It sort of turned me off. I hope he does not come back as I feel it did noting to advance the story, from what I could see.

I could hardly wait for the new TV season. I'm really into the new Magnum, P.I., still love Blue Bloods, can hardly wait for the Chicago shows (Med, Fire, PD) on Wednesday nights. The wife and I love Survivor and have watched most every season together.

For comedy, we watch the new Last Man Standing now that it got picked up by Fox. I'm still angry with CBS (the C is silent) for dropping it. For movies we use Netflix, Prime and Hulu, if we can find anything.

We use the DVR and then watch the shows later than their air time or the next day so that we can skip through the commercials. With Xfinity, fast-forwarding through the commercial is easy since the started Smart Resume. Just click fast forward and it automatically stops when the ads are over and the show starts again.

Last Thurs,I watched premiere of new NBC sitcom'Perfect Harmony"{ 8:30}starring Bradley Whitford
He plays a former music teacher who is depressed after his wife has died.He comes into a small town church listens to the struggling choir rehearsal, somehow gets roped into helping them prepare for a competition
I thought it was good and funny in spots.I've always like Bradley Whitford. Its nice to see him do a comedy after his role as "Josh' on NBC long running drama'The West Wing' '99-'06

I'm with you on your choices ... give me something to laugh at anytime.

I’ll stick with the crime shows. I can usually predict the ending. I have even been in 1 of them to my surprise. No talking, just a shot of me cuffing a suspect.

Very impressive 911..you were always where the action is....in my next life I'm coming back as a CSI...would luv delving into the minds of these criminals and what makes them tick....read quite a few books on this subject....

If I had it to do all over with again, I would have studied psychology and then seriously considered becoming an FBI Profiler. Those guys and gals give me the creeps. I met Dayle Hinman years ago when she still worked for the FBI. We (PSP) didn’t have our own profiler at the time, so we requested they send us one to study a case we were trying to resolve. They sent her and within 10 minutes, she was able to tell us more about this man than we knew in the 10 days that we had spent trying to figure out who we were dealing with. When we caught our guy, she had him pegged from top to bottom.

I would really liked to have met Candice DeLong. Her eyes are very penetrating and mesmerizing. Candice spent time tracking down the
Unibomber among others.

Bob-Abishola is a big hit in this household.

I have not watched network shows in prime time for 40 years other than comedy shows. All of the shows are the same regardless of the subject matter i.e., cops, doctors, lawyers. etc.

Used to watch mostly comedies but there's way too much silly drama in them....
tonight its The Masked Singer and American Horror Story for me...October brings lots of spookers except I dont watch the goofy teenager ones or any repeats of movies from the past....once I've viewed them, the thrill is gone for me....

I watched BobšŸ˜Abishola on CBS tonight and I am definitely hooked, like it very much. That Chuck Lorre has a knack for picking winning comedies.
