We used to change the time back in October but it was pushed into November so children would have a little more daylight on Halloween.

Really?..is that true?
Yup!

It was included in the Energy Policy Act signed by President George W. Bush in 2005 and became effective in 2007.

Clocks were set back one hour on the first Sunday in November (November 4, 2007), rather than on the last Sunday of October (October 28, 2007). This had the net effect of slightly lengthening the duration of daylight saving time.

That's odd, because the kids I know wait until it gets dark before they go trick or treating around the neighborhood.
They don't want to go while it's light outside. ... ruins the spirit of the night. :)

I'm glad we in Arizona (and those in Hawaii) don't have to deal with that cr@p, I had to when I lived in Connecticut.
