Reality can be complex

That's why Scotch was invented
Actually I think the dude who penned that drawing must have been the one who downed the Scotch! 😉

On a more serious note, I wanted that pic to illustrate what I’ve repeatedly come to realize in more recent times, and that is that in any given scenario, each person’s take or perspective is going to be different, and the actual truth is somewhere in the middle of all that.

I’m sure @win231experienced this when taking eyewitness statements and the disparities between the stories, even
When everyone is being as factual as they can. One person’s perspective can be so different that it can change the entire tone of any given scenario. Add to that the very natural human nature type tendency to slant the narrative to show oneself in the best possible light, and you can end up with a description that bears little resemblance to what actually happened.

Reality is reality. There is only one reality, you can't have several levels of truth. What is complex is our interpretation of reality. It's how we see reality. We have the means to alter our perception of reality. We make our own vesrion of reality. But, it does not mean that version of reality exists. That's where the confusion comes from.

I disagree. I believe reality is in the eye of the beholder. Reality is individual perspective.
How can we all possibly have the ‘same’ perspective therefore no two peoples reality is the same meaning there is no such thing as ‘one’ reality.

I'm with Fuzzybuddy on this one. Reality is reality. That's what reality is. It's how we interpret what we see or experience that forms our version of it, but that doesn't mean we are right.
Yeah, that's sort of like that saying, "If a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound if no one hears it" (or something like that). I say it still makes a sound even if no one hears it.

In physics, sound is a vibration that typically propagates as an audible wave of pressure, through a transmission medium such as a gas, liquid or solid. In human physiology and psychology, sound is the reception of such waves and their perception by the brain.

Once again, the reality may depend on interpretation. Are we talking about pure physics or human perception?
