Which applies to you more

I'm not much on walking exclusively for exercise but I do enjoy a walk in the woods or along a lake, a walk to the grocery store, bank, window shopping, etc...

When I drive I tend to park away from the buildings where there is little competition for a parking space and less chance of a ding to my vehicle.

I'd walk more if my hips and knees didn't hurt so much. I had excruciating pain in my left hip in August last year and had an x-ray. The clinic said I had mild arthritis, but not enough to cause so much discomfort. I had a steroid injection and it helped a lot, but not totally. Probably a labral tear (cartilage between the ball and socket in the hip joint) since it started after mowing the lawn.

If taken literally.

Due to traffic I never walk in the street

Driving on the sidewalk is prohibited.

That was for humor so for the intent/response the OP expects. I walk every chance I get. Like Aunt Bea parking where pulling thru or away from the more congested part of a parking lot is a lifelong habit.

A bit og both with me. If my poorly knees play up I get the car out even up the local shops. Then I walk a fair a stretch if I feel I want and should do.

Knees were replaced 15 and 13 years ago. They are doing fine.
Back injury 9 years ago is my problem. In stores I take a cart just to lean on even if I am only getting one small item.

Walking is just to get to and from the car. I have no problem driving.

I'm a life long walker, never felt comfortable behind the wheel
I walk everywhere any place more than 6 blocks I take the bus or a friend will take me
I've had to change my walking routine, take 2 walks/day instead of 3 because I have osterarthritis in my good knee{left}.My right is partial had surgery 15 yrs ago.If the sidewalks have been shoveled of snow&ice, its easier for me to take a walk

My hips bother me for a couple of weeks in the spring until I work the winter rust out of my joints and then they are fine.

I also have similar problems with shin splints for a couple of weeks.

Neither. I walk sometimes and drive sometimes. Lots of variables factor into those decisions.
Same here. I do like to walk and do it every day. Even if I can walk to the nearest store, chances are I will drive. If I drive somewhere, I often park far away from the entrance, especially in summer, I like to park in the shade, hate the heat. I do whatever makes sense.
