Batteries, batteries, I'm sick of batteries.

Remember when... thirty seemed so old.
Too many batteries at my place. Seems like I'm always needing to change one. Sat down and realized, I've got 12 different rigs that have batteries. That would be bad enough, but, when you throw in the 2ea. motor home coach batteries and the 4 extra solar batteries, I have 18 batteries that need looking after. Am I the only one here that is in this boat? Boat... oh crap, I'd better not get one... that would mean more batteries. 😜

With smoke and CO detectors, I'm changing batteries fairly often. Then there are various other gizmos that call for them: Clocks, laser pointers for work, flashlights, lanterns, musical instrument pedals, etc. Yeah, I am at the dozen, or more, level myself. I buy batteries in the BIG economy packs, and they disappear pretty quickly. No biggie, for me.

1 for the vehicle
1 for the laptop
2 for smoke detectors
2 for the television remote
1 for the glucometer

The first two only require updating every 10 years or so and the others are a quick trip to the $tore a couple of times a year.

I saw this item on the television the other day and thought it was interesting.

We use AA and AAA in just about everything in the house. !2 volt batteries in the SUV and truck Two 12 volt batteries for the boat. 18 volt batteries for the drill. hand vacuum, and pole saw. 40 volt batteries for the chainsaw and weed eater. Whew! I think that's all.

We try and keep the batteries at a minimum. I bought a small vacuum for our sitting room because of our messy bird. I use it daily, luckily it is still a plug in.

In my daughters house everything has a battery. I walked passed the garbage can the last time I was there and the lid flew open. I wanted to wash my hands and had to put my hand under the soap dispenser to get the foamy stuff out and I couldn't get a drop of water out of the faucet.. I had to tap it.

I wanted to use the bathroom and some sweet stuff sprayed around the room, same thing in the shower stall it had an automatic cleaner. Enough already.

I feel your pain.. we have batteries from A-Z. Glad that hubby makes sure they are on hand. I need to be battery energized to keep up with batteries...don't have all that battery energy to keep up....lol

Like Gary, I buy large packs of batteries also from Costco when they're on sale. When we go camping we have a lot of flashlights, lanterns, CD player, book lights, etc. that use batteries.

I never buy AA or AAA batteries unless they are rechargeable.

I buy the rechargeable ones and charge them on a charger plugged into an AC circuit.

I'm never looking for a battery. There are plenty on hand.

The last ones I bought were Energizer. They give you four rechargeable batteries and the charger for $20.00.

Plug them in, the charger light turns green and shuts off automatically when charged.

I have 3 kids living here, they each have cell phones, school iPads, home Ipads, and many rechargeable toys. I have a 10 station USB charger and it's busy most of the time. Plus, there are boxes of AA and AAA batteries always on hand. Gives me an anxiety attack just thinking about it.

We've got a bunch of household items that require batteries...smoke detectors, clocks/wristwatches, wireless doorbells, interior/exterior thermometers, etc.,etc. I keep a good assortment of several different sizes and types of batteries on hand, and change them as needed....no big deal. The common batteries...AA/AAA...I usually get for free when I buy something at Harbor Freight. I buy the "button" batteries on EBAY for a fraction of what they sell for in the stores.

I'm chuckling because I just got a battery organizer that came with a tester.

$17.88 for a storage box!!!!
I paid a little more than that for a charger and 8 batteries!!! >>CLICK HERE<<
.
First of all you need to read about the product you've purchased! It doesn't charge batteries. It holds them and has a portable devise that checks to see if the batteries are usable. That is all that it does.

Just one of our battery drawers.. and further to those we have batteries for garden tools which are stored in the shed... and indoors more batteries for the Ring Video door bell, the remote controls for the lights etc.. the computers and the Mice...for watches, and goodness knows what else

Go to Walmart. Buy the charger which comes with 4 rechargeable batteries for $20.

And then look around and determine how many more you need to have a supply on hand.

And buy that amount. You won't regret it. You will always have batteries on hand.

Lets see. My Camera, two. Two flashlights, four, 2 clocks, two. Shaver two, Hair cutter two.

Spares, two. Total 14.

Funny, but I use batteries very little. Actually, when I go shopping & see these huge packages of batteries I wonder why anyone would buy that many? I have 4 remotes by the TV, one travel alarm clock & that is about it. Oh, yes, I have 2 cameras but the batteries there last for ages & any ways, they can be recharged.

We use a lot of them for various things, but right now, we're using way too many for our Christmas decor. The thing is, they burn out in a few days!! These are things like village houses, snowglobes, etc. nothing big. We always use quality brand name batteries, but they just aren't lasting at all  We get them from Amazon, now I'm wondering if they're counterfeit!! We're going to get some from the store and see if that makes a difference.
