Shaking on right side of body.

My girlfriend is shaking on her right side of her body and wondering whats causing this? She is 68 years old. Her family doctor seams not to care. Wonder if anyone else on here have this problem?

Get a new general practitioner asap and a referral to a neurologist.

Her doctor knows she has a past of mini strokes.

I just called a neurologist for appointment just now. And Thanks for the help.

Great to hear! This isn't something that can be diagnosed on a message board, especially with her history. And the mini strokes may be all there is to it, but if it's a new onset, significant change it's best to rule out any other problem. Hope all goes well!

Checking with cardiologist, AND with every doctor who prescribes any of her meds, would be worth it, imo.

As a quick action, you could call and ask her pharmacist (chemist) if any of her meds are more suspect, than others, for you to know to call that specific doctor first. The pharmacists have a lot of knowledge.

Latuda is known for causing tremors. It is even mentioned as warning in their ads:
"tremors, muscle stiffness, problems with muscle movement;
feeling restless or being unable to sit still"
and there are warnings that this may become permanent. Other drugs in this category that cause reactions like this 'Abilify'

Medication side effects are more likely to be bilateral. Symptoms on one side of the body are more often associated with a neurological event on the opposite side of the brain.

Good points! And the other two prescriptions drugs mentioned also cause shakiness as a side effect. Possibly the combination is worsening the effects.
