You know you're getting old when...................

You know you're getting old when.......
........you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.
........fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
........former classmates are so gray and wrinkled, and blind they don't recognize you.
........you know when to say yes and when to say no, and when to say WHOOHOO!

  • The “young old” are aged 65 to 74. This group is nicknamed the “go-go years.” People in this group tend to be active and often do a lot of traveling.

  • The “middle old” is aged 75 to 84. This group is sometimes called the “slow-go years.” People in this group have become less active.

  • The “old-old” group is aged 85 and older. This group is referred to as the "no-go years” because people in this age group are the least likely to be active. There are currently six million people in this age group and is the fastest growing age group.

When my mind and body are having a conversation:
Mind: Oh I can do this with no problem
Body: I warned you several times that you can't.. The body normally wins because I feel the pain the next day.

Example - I baby sat my two little nieces this past Sunday (ages 7 and 5). They both have a lot of energy. I was in my little girl mode. We played hide and go see, we played dress up, we had so much fun..they kept me on my toes and some... I enjoyed them. In my mind, Oh I got this.. this is fun..my body the next day, Oh Really? I was tired Took me about 2 days to re-energized. 😂
