when we get home from a shop - we have quite a few tins of something to put away in the cupboards,
so here is my point -- do you line them all up with labels facing front ' or do you just mingle them in
where there is a space ' do you stack them one on top of each other 'or lay them down ' myself i dont care

my friend has ocd' everything is in order in her tins...

I try to keep similar products grouped together and set them up so I can see the labels facing front.

After a few weeks of me pawing around in the cupboard, things tend to arrange themselves so I have to take inventory and rearrange the shelves.

The last time I rearranged the cupboard I realized that I'm becoming my mother, I started finding canned goods that had gone beyond the expiration date.

I need to make more of an effort to buy only what I need when I need it and actually use it before I buy more!

I buy very few cans. Diced tomatoes, tomato paste, diced chiles, cream of ? ? ? soup for recipes, sliced black olives. That's about it, but I still face the labels to the front and stack them together, easier to manage.
Oh yes I forogt the canned tomatoes in my list. I think we have more of those than anything...

Well Toffee, Hollydolly said it already, she knows the
tins by colour and label, I was going to say:

If you are old enough to be on this site, you should know
all the tins that you buy, no matter which way they are facing,
but they will probably have to be standing upright.

Mike.

I try to store them together by contents but my wife tends to just put them anywhere. I have an analytical personality style and she is amiable which may explain the difference of methods. But being together we tend to balance out or relationship which is a really good thing.

They say the BEST marriages are the ones where each of the couple balances the other.
