What Words Define You? (Five Phrases or Less)

SD, tell us about your new doggie, I would love to hear the story!

As to what kind of individual dumps an old blind dog in the woods (or anywhere else) -- I don't think I'm allowed to use that kind of language here. Luckily you found the old soul and took him in.

So tell us the story!

I hear you about the kind of person who would dump a sweetie like this. I had lot's of words that I dare not repeat here about said people.

I was out back my shed changing the head gasket on my tractor. I turned around and this poor little fur ball was coming out of the woods behind me. Now, there isn't anything behind my place but an old dead end dirt road, and then another 500 acres or so of woods beyond that. Therefore, I'm leaning toward someone dumped her. 😡 She is well card for and flea free so there may be a possibility that an elderly person passed on and the kin folk didn't want her. (that of course makes me double mad). I took her in my fenced yard and let her map it out and brought her some food. (like to take off my fingers she was so starved). After a few hours getting to know the other fur babies, I brought her in the house and fed her a real meal. Amazingly, she quickly learned what the doggie door was for and went outside to do her business. (I swear these guy's teach each other). :) Then she settled down alongside the wood stove and fell asleep. She's so gentle and has not shown any aggression. We have put the word out locally to see if someone is looking for her. If not, then she has now found herself a permanent home as I would never bring her to a kill shelter.
Here's the little fat belly content baby at rest. :)(y)

My mutt black and white shepherd went blind when he got old. It's amazing how well they navigate. Thanks for rescuing her! 😻

Oh, and he got out once when my other dog opened the gate. Somehow he navigated around the neighborhood until someone took him to the pound and they called me (he had tags and I was at work when he got out). It was a miracle he didn't get hurt.

What a lovely, loving story. God bless you for taking this old lady in.

@squatting dog, bless you and thank you for your kindness to this adorable critter. I cannot imagine anyone dumping a domesticated animal to fend for itself.

I agree, there is no way she could fend for herself. my game camera has captured many images of coyote's back in the woods behind me. Therefore I suspect she had only been back there a day or three, otherwise, they'd have got her. :( Would dearly love to find who dumped her.
