Recommendations for Safe/Mature Driver Course?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an online Safe/Mature Driver Course?

I'm unimpressed with AARP's Smart Driver Course, and am looking for an alternative.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Just commenting on your "name." Was speaking with a friend yesterday who has worked in fundraising for decades. A recent appeal was aimed at the "Yodes." That's the reference made to a person on the young side of being old. I told her I loved the word and wanted to use it in a sentence. Now I have. Thanks!

Check with your insurance carrier. I am with State Farm. I took a course online, through their website. Had to take a quiz as proof I took the course. I get a 10% discount for 3 years. Took me less than 4 hours, at my own pace, and took a couple breaks.

I hadn't heard the term, 'Yodes', before. Cool!

Thanks very much for the reply, Marie!

4 hrs is certainly a lot less than the bloated 8 hrs of the AARP course.

I don't have State Farm insurance, and the State Farm course is not included on my state's list of mature driver improvement programs (https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/vehindustry/ol/md_programs), which is my insurer's approved list of programs. So, unfortunately, it appears that your excellent suggestion will not work for me. Bummer!

What is it that they teach you, exactly? I'm only 86 and have given it some thought for the future, when I get really old. 😄
Basically safe driving tips, rules of the road. Reminders of different road signs, speed limits, driving in bad weather etc. I forget off hand.

My children will remove my car the second they feel I am not fit to drive, at my request. My late mother was driving for far too long and was a menace on the road. Eventually my siblings and I ensured her car was removed, as the eldest I took the blame for that. Until the day she kicked the bucket she kept demanding that we bought her a new car.
