When I first got my car I saw an icon on the dashboard and I couldn't figure out what it was. My prior vehicle was not computerized like this one. I looked it up on the manual and it was that the trunk door was not closed completely. LOL I only just recently learned how to open the hood.I took it for a drive after leaving. There is a lot to learn. Interesting little thing on dashboard...there is a small icon that tells me the speed limit on the road I am driving. Cool.

As I told him...my mama did not raise no fool...notice I put him in front of license plate. LOL
I haven't gotten that far yet/ with my new car ... someday I might want to look under that hood..![]()
You are not alone!Bonnie, I was VERY embarrassed by it. My car is already FIVE years old and when my battery died last month and I got my nice neighbor to give me a charge, he asked me to open the hood. I had to fess up and tell him I didn't know how.He smiled and opened it for me. Now I know how!
I say flames!Good for you. There is nothing like the scent of a new car.
On the other side of the coin, foreign cars are taboo in my home. But, to each his/her own. It looks good, but could use an accent stripe on the side. What do you think?

The profits still end up in an overseas bank, whether it’s in Japan or Korea. Besides, I just have a hard and fast rule that I do not buy any foreign vehicles. My wife, OTOH, doesn’t live by that creed. She’s had everything from a Jaguar to a Lexus to now a Mercedes. She was going to buy a BMW, but I was able to talk her out of that. What’s next, a Tesla? I don’t see the need to buy expensive vehicles. To me, it’s just about the show.It is only the Company that is foreign oldman, the workers are American
and the cars was built in America.
Toyota is International, I helped to build their factory here in the UK, their
design Company were Japanese, but the rest of us were British, even the
new management and workers to run the factory were all British.
So the same will apply in America I think.
Mike.
