The number of coronavirus cases in Florida jumped by nearly 100 Wednesday morning.
The Florida Department of Health reported 98 additional cases of coronavirus on Wednesday morning, bringing the total number of cases to 314.

According to the health department, 314 people were ill with the virus in Florida. This includes 195 Florida residents and 21 people from out of state. Another five Florida residents with the virus were “repatriated” to the U.S., but their location was not disclosed.

Seven people have died of the virus in Florida.

I thot this virus can't survive in the hot weather....Florida should have less cases from where I'm standing (?) except for the out of staters that brought it to Florida......am I missing something here? California being a warm state year round should've had lower numbers too (?)

Did you see all the people NOT practicing social distancing as they crowded the beaches? I think this is why it's spreading down there. Close contact in crowds. That's how this is transmitted.

I have read that the virus not surviving hot weather was not true. Can't remember where I saw that. Probably on YouTube. Social distancing and washing hands are extremely important and how many people are not doing that? Many from what I have seen.
