I agree with this, I've said it from the beginning. People are being made not only to live with someone 24/7 when they're used to just seeing each other for an hour or so at the begininng and end of the day and those times are taken up with chores, or getting ready for work.. . Further to that the children are at home all day in many places too.. so with their frustrations, and the parents also spending 24/7 with kids who are bored and listless..and who want to go out , and to make matters a 100 times worse, there's people who have no , or very little income coming in... so all that combined it's bound to strike a tinder box in some households ...even households who don't have kids, most younger couples are just not used to spending so much time just with one person, no escape to the pub, or a girls night out or even around to a friends house.. or a date night ...When we came out of Walmart yesterday, there was a man and woman parked next to us, and they were having a real serious shouting match. Even with their windows rolled up, we could hear them arguing loudly. We quickly put our stuff in the car, and got away from them.
As this illness drags on, I suspect the divorce rates will begin to climb.
I always call our grocers ahead of time to ask if anything is missing @SeaBreeze but nobody is substituting out of stock items these daysWell, we went to Sam's Club this morning after being notified that the order was ready. Although my husband made the online order and used his name and credit card, didn't add me as an alternate pick up person, he sat in the car and I went in alone.
They were very nice there. Only another couple were waiting to pick up besides me, we went in through the exit door, which was locked and had to be opened by an employee. They didn't even ask for ID, I just signed the computer to pay and left with the food. We ordered 7 items, but only picked up four, they said the other three were out of stock....wish they said that when he ordered it online.
There was a loooong line of people waiting to get in outside the entrance. They all were standing with carts, and were at least a cart length apart. They were only letting in 25 shoppers at a time, when one came out, one was allowed to go in. Much easier to order online, I wouldn't have waited on a line like that. We drove past two supermarkets on the way back home, no lines there.
When was it ever?Perhaps they suspect that the future isn't going to be all roses & sunshine.
Sorry you didn't get all you ordered. So many more are using the online services that they are out of a lot of things. I only got half of what I ordered for delivery last week, disappointing but understandable. I can't even get a delivery from Shipt or Aldi's this week. Good thing I have most of what I need but I will start running low after awhile. Trying hard to make everything last longer.Well, we went to Sam's Club this morning after being notified that the order was ready. I knew it...I suspected this would happen.!!Not all are handling stress well. Sadly domestic violence hotlines have seen a surge in calls

Yep, many of us did, I was just speaking on the phone with my friend about it the other day.I knew it...I suspected this would happen.!!
They are probably preparing for that anarchy John....or planning to be a part of it.COMMON SENSE: The truth be known I have not seem any more stress than normal around here. However, common sense says that if you "cage" people long enough in their own homes some of them are going to explode. You can't expect people to spend weeks sitting at home watching the boob tube 12 hours/day. There will be a lot more stories about family violence (sex, child or wife abuse). People want to be out. With no libraries, restaurants, card games, casinos, movie theatres, what are people to do? Stress will mound. Then with millions of people with no jobs things will get worse & worse. I saw a photo of people lined up in California to buy guns & I thought that this is sure crazy. Now, a week later I'm not that sure anymore. Perhaps they know something that we don't know. Perhaps they suspect that the future isn't going to be all roses & sunshine.
Man probably admitted to buying the wrong kind of dog food or bought decaf instead of regular coffee, because that's all that was left. Poor guy. When we came out of Walmart yesterday, there was a man and woman parked next to us, and they were having a real serious shouting match. Even with their windows rolled up, we could hear them arguing loudly. We quickly put our stuff in the car, and got away from them.

Are the shooting ranges open out there? They are probably preparing for that anarchy John....or planning to be a part of it.
@OneEyedDiva They were actually a lot more than 6 feet apart while arguing. And in our buildings there are signs up telling us to stay at least 6 feet apart.Fortunately not yet. Sounds like your neighbors need to do some social distancing.
