Inanimate objects....

I would have to say the pool table in our finished off basement. The hubby just had to have one about 3 years after we moved in. If 10 games were played on it that would be a lot.
It takes up so much space and every time I go down there I visualize a nice high table with an area for all my sewing and other projects.
The hubby says its to heavy to move and get rid of. Don't test me. I know where the sledge hammer is.

just order a large size piece of wood cut to fit the top of the pool table , and sit your sewing machine and crafts right on top of it..with high bar type stools positioned for your use both sides of the table .. fait accompli :sneaky:

Holly,After I noticed the hubby not using it I got a piece of wood, painted it green and got a ping pong net for it so the kids could play. They tired of that so I did try using it for my crafts. I couldn't find a chair that would work. There is a decorative wide board all around the sides that doesn't give much leg room.
Thanks for the tip though.
I'm thinking of attaching grow lights from the ceiling above and start plants for the garden . Problem is,we have no water down there. I'd have to haul water from the kitchen down a flight of stairs.

Oldman, you being a career airline pilot you must have a bucket full of personal stories related to flying and passengers. Why not share a few?
Do you think anyone would be interested? I have personally met a lot of famous people on my planes mainly because I did a lot of trips between New York and L.A. Never had an accident or even a reportable incident in my 33 years of flying. That's not to say that everything went smooth all of the times that I flew.

Yes we would

Well, thanks, Gary, but I am not a very good story teller like you, although I tend to talk too much at times, if I am comfortable with the person or people I am speaking with.

I think a lot of people have some good stories to tell. They just need to be coaxed into telling them.

awww poor you, caught between a rock and a hard place... 🙃

This may not qualify as an inanimate object in your house but it certainly does in mine.

I've always hated the sound of a vacuum cleaner unless I'm the one operating it!
