First ride this year

We shined the old girl up and took her for her first ride of the season

The Spousal Equivalent took the bike out on a ride Saturday and was gone for six hours. I should have known he was up to something. When he came home, he was driving a Harley.

He had a perfectly good Kawasaki Voyager that he just spent two years getting exactly the way he wanted it, but nooooooo, he had a mid-life crisis (hah! 72 years old is too old for a mid-life crisis) and just had to have a Harley.

Well, I guess I should grateful he didn't come home with a Lamborghini and a 25-year-old girlfriend (yeah, right.....)

Same thing happened to me jujube. Started out with a BSA (English bike), then a Honda, then a Yamaha and the grand finale, a 1200cc Harley Super Glide. Just something we men have to do jujube.

Ron has TRIED to have several “midlife crises” in the last 3 years, always involving the purchase of something with a motor. A couple different bikes, a motor home, an SUV, a 4 wheeler....those are the ones I remember.

His latest attempt involves his-and-hers Jet Skis! Now THAT particular midlife crisis is one I’m encouraging!
