Online Car Buying

Lately, nearly all the car ads on TV seem to be about buying a new vehicle "Online". I guess most car dealer showrooms are seeing little or no activity during this epidemic. Buying a new vehicle, for 10's of thousands of dollars, online, would seem to be a rather bizarre thing...at least, to me. On the plus side, it would eliminate most of the games the car salesmen play, but there would be several concerns I would have before making such a transaction. As this virus continues to turn our world upside down, this is just one of many things we may see changing in the future.

I wouldn't think of getting a car that way. Dealerships that are required to be closed, naturally don't want to lose sales, so they'll do anything now.

Don't you love how the companies that have absolutely nothing to do with healthcare are jumping on the virus bandwagon? There is a floor mat maker that is saying buy out floor mats for you vehicle because they are safer. Weather Tech is the company. Oh and Honda and Chevrolet are so concerned about our will being as well. Aren't they just wonderful people?(n)

From what I have read, many dealerships will bring the car you chose to your home and you can look it over, test drive, etc. before signing the papers to purchase.
Yes, but the salesman has to ride on the roof to maintain the 6 ft. social distance during the test drive.

Wonder how many fake addresses I could use and drive off with the cars, never to be seen again. :ROFLMAO:
HAHA. They make a copy of your driver's license before the test drive. Someone will provide a fake one & the car will be in a different zip code within 30 minutes.
"Hey....where's that $450,000 Lamborghini?"
