Easter Candy

My favorite Easter candy is of all things, Jellybeans. The store where I work reduces their holiday candies by 50% the day after the holiday. I start work at 6 a.m., but get there around 5:45. The store opens at 6 for Seniors, but I get to shop even before that. This year, I bought 10 bags of jellybeans at .79 cents each. Why not? We had a lot of bags left over. Brach’s makes good jellybeans, but not my favorite. Just Born are my favorites. Jellybeans are available all year, but not at that price.

On Wednesday, I couldn’t find all my bags, so I asked my wife if she knew anything about them. She told me that she gave my sister 5 bags. I asked why did she do that? She said, “You don’t need all that sugar.” UGH!

So she gave away your jelly beans but none of her shoes! 🤔

I always enjoyed the black jelly beans or the tiny intensely flavored Jelly Belly style beans.
The popcorn, marshmallow, juicy fruit, and chocolate pudding ones are my favorite. I don’t like the spicy ones and throw them away. The rest, somehow make it into my tummy 😉

Oldman I love "Just Born" jelly beans as well. I think they are made in PA. Next time stash a few bags where they won't be found. I have a stash of all kinds of goodies in a box that holds old cassette tapes. Just don't come out chewing. I was caught that way more then once. lol

That’s an idea. I’ll hide a pair of her favorite shoes and when she asks about them, I’ll her that I gave them away because she doesn’t need all those pairs of shoes.

My favorite colors are green and then red. Black (licorice) are good, but I was told from someone that they aren’t good for you. What’s up with that?

But .. I love the black ones, also black liquorice! 😭

I swear to God, I had a passion for jelly beans when I was in my 30's.... it lasted about a year.. no more than that ..and I had to have 13 fillings. I'm not kidding, 13 fillings.... all caused by the jelly bean eating!! I've never eaten another one since...

I love it. I used to keep a baggie full of jellybeans with me in the cockpit. I have always had an affinity for my jellies.

Back when I was a kid, my Mom made my sister and I an Easter basket with Russell Stover’s chocolates, jelly beans and painted eggs. My dad reminded me of a fox. He loves hard boiled eggs, so I would notice my eggs would disappear and only he would have taken them. I only ever accused him one time of taking my eggs. I thought that he should be able to do that. For all that he did for his family, what’s a few eggs. Besides, I used to take his ribbon candy at Christmas.

I like jelly beans- bought a pack of "Jelly Belly" brand this time.
My #1 favorite Easter candy, though, are those Russell Stover eggs with various creme flavored fillings. This year they even had banana and pineapple! :p

If it's real licorice, not the artificially-flavored kind.
I learned this a few years ago when I went to the ER and my blood pressure was sky-high, whereas it's usually on the slightly-low side. I'd been scarfing down black licorice!
Yes real licorice or real licorice flavour not artificial flavour. Lots of licorice has real licorice flavour though.
