Absentminded Me...

Has anyone seen either @Pecos
OR @Aunt Marg ,
since they each went wandering off from this thread, in different directions,
both in search of Pecos' missing coffee mug?

I am back and I found my coffee cup on the front porch right where I left it.

But I strongly suspect that the Buffalo painted on the side had distracted me while he was trying to figure out how to rejoin his herd in South Dakota where he was made. Wild animals have a mind of their own and you have to watch them all the time.

That's my story, and I am sticking to it!

How can you loose with a concocted story like that, Pecos! ROFLMAO!

This really isn't funny, but here goes. I was in San Diego and was supposed to fly to Denver out of Gate 21. This was back in the early 80's and we didn't have all of the technology in place that we have today. I was on the plane for about a half hour and there wasn't anyone else doing anything, not even loading supplies. I walked back up the sky bridge and looked at the Gate Number and saw that I was on the plane at Gate 12, which wasn't scheduled to fly anywhere until the next morning.

When I got to the right gate and on the right plane, the First Officer asked me if I had a late flight coming in and if that is why I was late. I just said, "Yeah." I was so embarrassed, I couldn't tell him what had happened. I was glad that he ran the pre-start checklist, so at least we weren't late leaving San Diego. Heck, til, I was settled in, we were ready for pushback. I was glad that he offered to do the takeoff. That's something that only happens to you one time.
