Target Shooting

No bows and arrows for me....but, a couple of weeks ago, I took all my firearms out for their annual "Spring Cleaning". I put a few rounds through each, then cleaned and oiled them up nicely, then back into the gun safe. I've pretty much quit hunting, so an annual Spring and Fall checkup is about all they receive, anymore....unless I see an armadillo rooting around the yard.
 
I’ve hunted with bow & arrow and rifle. I’d never go bow hunting again., but I was pretty good on the archery range. I liked completion shooting. Fun, like golf.
 

Sometimes, guns that are made for battle - not target shooting are the most accurate.
I competed in Metallic Silhouette events - with an Uzi Carbine. I got lots of laughs & "What are you gonna do with that?" from others at the event who had custom-built single-shot silhouette guns.....until I beat their score. Teehee.
 
Daughter came over Saturday.... Dug out her pistol, We grabbed our daily carries...
2 boxes of ammo later the grandson brings out his BB rifle for another 50 rounds of paper and can shooting.
Win... I have a Hi-Point 9MM Carbine that will drive tacks at 75 yards...

Yes, Hi Point makes a great carbine at a very low price. But I've never understood why they can't make a decent pistol.

Just about anything is. Back in the '80's, I was an instructor. A woman would show up with a shiny new Jennings or Raven. I'd ask her why she chose it & she'd say, "My husband recommended it." I always tried very hard not to say anything, but I was tempted to say something like, "Well, a $50.00 junk gun......He knows what your life is worth.
