Hunting through some old photos and found these two. Excuse the quality, this was taken from across the fields behind us. The perspective is not quite right.

Thank you, Aunt Marg. We're fortunate to live in a very nice area, but like all countries, there are bad areas as well as good. The area where I live is not what many people think Scotland is like.

Here are a few more pics from my local area.

The fishing port of Macduff. It's separated from Banff by a river. (Banff in Canada was named after the Scottish town).


Our local beach in July - this is about as busy as it gets..



One of the over 2000 castles that have existed in Scotland, although many have vanished or are now ruins.

Crathes castle sits on land gifted by Robert the Bruce in 1323. The Yew trees in the pic were planted in 1702.

322 year old yews, my gosh! The sculpture is so unique, I remember seeing them in the past.

It's all very beautiful. Your place and everything.
