go to nationalhearingtest.org and have your phone ready. It is free to AARP members. You will need your AARP password. I flunked on both ears.

In this area most hearing aid suppliers offer free tests from time to time and most Medicare advantage plans cover them. I am not nor will I ever become an AARP member. They were a force advocating for older adults at one time but exist now to sell their low quality financial products and get people to pay a membership to get discounts that they actually could get free for the asking.

And they are a political lobbying organization who you may or may not agree with, using your numbers as leverage for their causes.

Probably nothing. Wearing hearing aids is not my style. I'll stick with "huh?'
LOL. And no annoying batteries to change!!!

Oh. Sorry. AND NO ANNOYING BATTERIES TO CHANGE!!! ;)

I've been wetting my britches over the state of my doctors these days. The doctor I saw for 25 years would give an eye exam (including color blindness test) and hearing exam as part of my annual physical. I wouldn't even know where to go THESE DAYS to have my hearing tested the old fashioned way.

Actually I had my hearing tested in 12/2019 by a qualified audiologist & I had already known I had a hearing problem before I was tested. Was in the process of trying to find which of the many aids would work best for me, but decided to hold off. And With most folks in stores wearing masks I’ve have realized to my surprise how much I had been relying on some lip reading, which is no longer visible.

That's interesting.

Plus, their words are so muffled, it's tough to understand them no matter how well you hear.
