Florida neighborhood taken over by loud, messy peacocks

Residents of a Florida neighborhood are complaining about a loud and messy flock of peacocks that has taken up residence in the area.

Residents of the Hillside Terrace area of Brandon said a pair of peacocks moved into the neighborhood several years ago and the flock has since grown to more than 50 birds.

The peacocks are noisy because they are mating.
The people who are complaining are jealous because no one wants to mate with them & they can't stand to see birds getting more action than they are.

Maybe these residents can find a county commissioner who lives in the area, and "induce" some of these birds to take up residence in his area.
Given a choice between some noisy birds, and some of the humans in our cities, I would take the birds.

The people who are complaining are jealous because no one wants to mate with them & they can't stand to see birds getting more action than they are.

That's exactly what I told the judge.

Peacocks are not dumb, perhaps a dozen or so 20ft square signs around the area saying, "Peacock eggs for sale, buy one and get one free", might just do the trick and they'll pack their bags and migrate elsewhere.
It worked for me with the pterodactyls.

Something similar happened in a suburban neighborhood here a few years ago. A family kept a pair for sort of ornament & novelty, then moved away & left them behind. Nobody worried until the flock grew to around 10 after a few more years, and similar things happened. Finally animal control rounded them up, which wasn’t easy because they do fly up into trees, and took them to the zoo, where they lived happily ever after, (though without so many eggs being allowed to hatch & grow up.) they

Some people don't recognize good luck.
It's well know elephants fear peacocks. That many roaming around will definitely keep elephants from crapping on their lawns.

There was a group of peacocks near my in-laws' home. Trust me, those birds shriek often and plenty loud It sounds a lot like someone screaming "Help!!!" I feel for the people in this neighborhood. Too much of anything can become a serious nuisance.

Turkey Vultures are our nemesis. Disgusting big black birds that descend on a neighborhood and roost for a day on your roof.....loudly.....and poop like mad.
